Pig & Hen takes its name from an early Dutch sailing tradition. Way back in the 1600’s when sailing the seven seas, old Dutch sailors used to have a pig and hen inked on their feet. These tattoos were thought to keep bad luck at bay since in case of a ship-wreck, the pigs and hens on board were usually the sole survivors as the wind and tide would safely float them back home in their wooden crates.
Thinking that we can all use a bit of good fortune, why not call the company Pig & Hen?
The Pig & Hen bracelets are handwoven in Amsterdam. Every bracelet has its own unique strength and can be worn 24/7. Shower with it, surf with it, climb some mountains–your bracelet won’t care. Take up the challenge and see if you too have good fortune while wearing it through life’s journey.
